Volunteer Training for Storm Rescues
We will train both transport volunteers and animal care volunteers.
We will cover rehab/rescue code of ethics and safety

-Must be at least 18 years old
-2 to 6 week commitment
-You must be able to legally care for wildlife in your home
-Time: Some babies have to be fed every 2-4 hours
-You cannot care for wildlife or domestic animals for other rescues while volunteering with us
-You agree to follow our instructions and not consult with anyone outside our rescue network
-Weekly weigh ins, check ins with us are required
-All animals must be returned to us for release when they reach weaning age or when we request their return
We Provide formula, food, feeding utensils, medications
You may need to provide minimum housing supplies which will be discussed in class.
SPACE IS LIMITED. ONLY REGISTER IF YOU CAN ATTEND.
YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO SIGN A VOLUNTEER AGREEMENT WITH OUR RESCUE.

Current Volunteers who need a refresher can email us to be included in this class.
We do not advocate, endorse or provide training for keeping wildlife as pets.
All native wildlife is the property of the state of South Carolina. (SC CODE OF LAWS 50-1-10) We are permitted caregivers of native wildlife with the agreement to return all wildlife back to its natural habitat in a timely manner.
