Dear Friends and Supporters,
2025 has been an incredible year for us. As we prepare for 2026 our ask is very simple. Our goal is to get 250 $25 sponsorships before the end of the year.
Many people ask us to break down the cost of animal care per animal. We can’t. A healthy animal may only cost $5 from intake to release. A sick, injured, or compromised animal could be $200 or more!
Whether is a mouse, rat, squirrel, or fawn; the average cost of care for an animal is about $25. 250 sponsorships would cover one-half of the animals we anticipate for 2026.
We are an all-volunteer organization. That means 100% of the funds donated to us go for the care of the animals at the rescue as well as the constant repairs and upkeep needed. If each animal brought to us came with a small donation, we would not want for anything. The truth is most animals brought to us are NOT accompanied by a donation of any denomination.
Sponsoring the care of an animal at the rescue would be a tremendous help and allow us to focus on the animals instead of fundraising!
Contrary to what most people believe, we do not get anything for free just because we are nonprofit. We still have to pay for medical care, formula, feed, supplies, enclosures, electricity and water…and everything in between. Oh, and we also have to PAY to be a nonprofit, charitable organization. We are NOT compensated by state nor federal funding.
That means we rely on YOU, our Friends and Supporters, for us to survive.
